For eye problems, vision, or light in darkness
Lucy was a young Christian martyr of Syracuse during the persecutions of the early fourth century. Her name is connected with light, and devotion to her has long been associated with sight and hope in darkness.
Her name and witness make her a traditional intercessor for eyesight, eye disease, and spiritual clarity.
Ask for intercession
St. Lucy, faithful witness and bearer of Christ’s light, intercede for my sight and this concern. Ask Jesus to guide those providing care, preserve or restore vision as he wills, and give me courage in uncertainty. Help me see every day by the light of faith. Amen.
