Did Jesus condemn repetitive prayer?
Jesus condemned empty babbling, not sincere prayer that returns lovingly to the same words.
The short answer
No. Jesus warned against thinking that many empty words force God to listen. He did not forbid all repeated prayer. In Gethsemane, Jesus himself prayed again with the same words. In the Rosary, repetition creates a steady rhythm for meditating on Christ's life.
A closer look
The first half of the Hail Mary comes directly from Gabriel's greeting and Elizabeth's blessing in Luke. The Our Father was taught by Jesus. These biblical prayers form the background while the mind considers the Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful, and Glorious Mysteries.
Repetition can become mechanical if the heart is absent, so the Church calls us to pray attentively. But loving repetition can also deepen attention, just as a person can say 'I love you' many times without making the words meaningless.
