Why Catholics ask for this saint’s intercession

Her story and the healing ministry associated with Geel make her a special intercessor for mental health, trauma, caregivers, and safety from abuse.

Ask for intercession

A prayer with St. Dymphna

St. Dymphna, courageous witness of Christ, intercede for me in this mental and emotional suffering. Ask Jesus to bring light into confusion, calm into fear, and compassionate people into my path. Help me accept the care I need and remember that illness never diminishes my dignity before God. Amen.
